Dead Crows Test Positive for West Nile Virus

STATELINE (WIFR) -- Health Departments in Stephenson and Boone Counties report a dead crow tested positive for West Nile Virus.

We're told it's actually a bit early to start having cases pop up, but warm weather and a lack of rain have created the perfect conditions for the mosquitoes that spread the virus.

If you or your kids are going to be outside when mosquitoes are most active, make sure you put on that bug spray.
