LEE COUNTY (WIFR) -- Another property that used to belong to Rita Crundwell has sold.
The Lee County recorder tells us a Dixon man by the name of Mark Nusbaum bought the 81 acres of land on Nachusa Road for $1.2 million. The money will go back to the City of Dixon to help recoup some of the $53 million Crundwell stole. She'll be sentenced on Thursday.
DIXON (WIFR) -- Another one of Rita Crundwell's properties is expected to sell any day now, this time it's the one she called home.
The U.S. Marshals service tell us her house on Highway 52 is under contract. It was signed a week ago and the buyer has 35 days to close on the deal. Sales on Crundwell's Dutch Road home and about 81 acres of land in Lee County are expected to close by tomorrow, leaving only Crundwell's Florida home.
Feds have received four offers, all of which have been rejected. Crundwell plead guilty to stealing more than $53 million from the City of Dixon. She'll be sentenced a week from today.
