Couple Gets Married on Ship Groom Built By Hand

ROCKTON (WIFR) – It’s a story that’s been making heads turn for months. A local groom spent three years turning his front yard into a scene from a movie, complete with a pirate ship on water.

On Saturday Kaela and Tony Miller got married on their custom made ship outside their Rockton home. The groom had wanted to build the ship since 2000, but finally starting constructing the ship three years ago inside of a pond he built for it to sit in. Tony said he made a deal with his then fiancée that if she let him build the ship he would marry her atop the vessel.

Tony says the work isn’t done yet and plans to add to the ship as soon as he can find time.
