Comedian Lewis Black Coming to the Coronado

ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- The Rockford Area Venues and Entertainment Autority (RAVE) has announced that stand-up comedian Lewis Black will be performing at the Coronado on Sunday, May 11th, 2014 at 8 p.m.

Tickets go on sale Friday, November 15 at 10 a.m. They are available at the Coronado Performing Arts Center, by calling 815-968-0595, or any Ticketmaster Outlet. Tickets are $55 and $45, plus applicable fees.

About Lewis Black
Black came into national prominence with his appearances on “The Daily Show” in 1996. Those appearances led to comedy specials on HBO, Comedy Central, Showtime and Epix. In 2001, he won the Best Male Stand-Up at the American Comedy Awards. He has released eight comedy albums, including the 2007 Grammy Award-winning "The Carnegie Hall Performance." Black won his second Grammy Award for his album "Stark Raving Black." Lewis has published three bestselling books, “Nothing’s Sacred” (Simon & Schuster, 2005), “Me of Little Faith” (Riverhead Books, 2008) and “I’m Dreaming of a Black Christmas” (Riverhead Books, 2010).
