Cocaine Bust in Rockford

ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- The State Line Area Narcotics Team (SLANT) in conjunction with the Rockford Police and the Drug Enforcement Administration arrested two Rockford men in an ongoing cocaine distribution investigation. A third subject is currently being sought by SLANT agents.

Mario Contreras-Lopez, 37, of the 1600 block of Ogilby St. Rockford was arrested on a warrant for Delivery of a Controlled Substance. Bond on the warrant was set at $500,000.

Francisco Ferrara, 31, of the 3200 block of Dartmouth St., Rockford was arrested on two warrants, one for Delivery of a Controlled Substance and a second warrant for Criminal Drug Conspiracy. Ferrara’s bond was set at $1,000,000.

Oscar Hernandez-Victoriano, 29, of the 3200 block of Dartmouth St., Rockford is currently wanted by SLANT agents for Delivery of a Controlled Substance and Criminal Drug Conspiracy. Hernandez-Victoriano’s bond is set at $1,000,000.

Contreras-Lopez and Ferrara are incarcerated at the Winnebago County jail.

Seized as a result of the investigation were approximately 1.5 kilos of cocaine, approximately $16,000 cash, a 9mm handgun, three vehicles and two personal watercraft.

The investigation is continuing and more arrests are anticipated.
