ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- There was an overwhelming response to a job fair out at the Clock Tower Resort. Within the first hour, 100 people had already filled out applications for between 75-100 jobs.
A Clock Tower spokeswoman says they’ve seen a big turnaround in the economy and more people are starting to book vacations. That’s why some of the best applicants, like Erika Garnica was hired on the spot.
“Since I start school this fall, I’ve been looking for a job that will go better with my scheduling, so that’s why I thought it’d be better for me to come in and see what they had, and I found something. So, I’m very excited about my new job,” Erika said.

ROCKFORD (WIFR) – The Best Western Clock Tower Resort and Conference Center is conducting a job fair to fill open positions and expand its current staffing to meet the needs of the increasingly busy resort. The event will be held Monday, June 24, 2013 from 10 am until 6pm in the Wallingford Ballroom of the Rockford hotel.
The Clock Tower will be looking to fill a variety of positions including full-time, part-time and seasonal throughout the hotel including food and beverage positions, front desk, maintenance, housekeeping and water park staff. Ideal candidates for most positions need only possess a positive, outgoing personality and a willingness to learn.
At the job fair, candidates will be required to fill out an application for the position(s) they are seeking. Managers will be greeting applicants and conducting open interviews throughout the day.
