ROCK COUNTY (WIFR) -- Just before 5:30 on Monday, March 4, 2013, a deputy from the Rock County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the area of E. Bradford-Townhall Road and S. STH 140 for a report of a gray, 2007 Chevy Silverado in the ditch with a male subject passed out behind the wheel. An officer from the Clinton Police Department also responded to assist.
On arrival, the vehicle was running and contact was made with the driver, Jack D. Tuls, age 70, of Clinton, WI. Tuls had a strong odor of intoxicants coming from his person and he admitted to consuming alcohol earlier in the day. Tuls failed one field sobriety test and refused all other tests. Tuls was transported to the Rock County Jail where he was arrested for Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated (5th Offense) and cited for Operating After Revocation. Tuls was held pending an initial appearance in Jail Court on March 5th at 4:00 p.m.
