City of Beloit Declares Snow Emergency

BELOIT (WIFR) -- The city of Beloit has declared a snow emergency to take place at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, February 7, 2013 and remain in effect until 6:00 p.m. on Friday, February 8, 2013.

During the entirety of the Snow Emergency declaration, the parking or standing or any vehicle on a City street is prohibited. Please remember to park vehicles in a driveway or in an approved off street parking lot listed below. The Police Department may ticket and/or tow away any motor vehicle, trailer, or semitrailer found in violation of this declaration at the owner's expense. The following parking lots have been designated as official areas for off street parking for residents to park their personal vehicles during a Snow Emergency.


Krueger Park Upper Park Lot--Hackett St. at House Street: East Lots Only

Krueger Golf Course Lot- 1611 Hackett Street: South Lot between designated signs

Wootten Park--4th Street at Maple Avenue: South end between designated signs

Riverside Park Rotary Center -1220 Riverside Drive: Two Center Row between the signs

Riverside Park Jones Shelter-access via west bound Portland Avenue: All Areas

Angel Museum-656 Pleasant Street: All Areas

Iron Works South Parking Lot - 3rd Street & Grand Avenue: West side of lot(along 4th street fence) between designated signs

Iron Works North Parking Lot- Ironworks & 3rd Street: North end of lot between designated signs

Fourth 4th Street Public Parking-Westside of 4th Street between La Casa Grande & Brass Rail: Center island between designated signs

West Grand Public Parking- 229 West Grand Avenue: Between designated signs

Telfer Park Parking Lot-2100 Cranston Road: South East lot between designated signs
