BELVIDERE (WIFR) -- It's an all clear for one Belvidere neighborhood after haz-mat crews spent Thursday afternoon cleaning up a chemical spill.
Around 2:30 p.m. a barrel filled with around 55 gallons of hydrochloric acid fell off a truck spilling all over Winding Creek Drive, that's near Riverside and Springcreek Roads. Boone County firefighters say nobody was forced to evacuate and everyone's OK. The incident has been reported to the Environmental Protection Agency.
