CLEVELAND (WIFR) – The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum in Cleveland, Ohio has announced the inductees for the 2016 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Rockford’s very own Cheap Trick is among the inductees. The ceremony will take place Friday, April 8, 2016 in Brooklyn, New York. Artists are allowed to enter the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 25 years after their first album or single has been released.

Cheap Trick, Chicago, Deep Purple, Steve Miller and N.W.A will all be inducted during the ceremony. 23 News Morning Anchor Andy Gannon spoke with the band’s guitarist Rick Nielsen this morning. Nielsen says he wants to thank all of his fans, especially those in Rockford.
