Charter to Make Changes to Public Access and Government Channels in Beloit

BELOIT (WIFR) -- In the coming months, Charter will make significant changes to their video service, including updating to an all-digital network. Customers will need Charter issued digital equipment to continue to view programming.

Concurrent with this change, Charter is eliminating any dual carriage of channels. All Public, Government, and Educational (PEG) Access Channels will be located together in the 900 range as they currently are today. Any analog channels that a PEG channel occupied will no longer be available as of April 1, 2014.

Analog (going away April 1, 2014) Digital

Beloit City Ch 96 (School District) Ch 992
Beloit City Ch 98 (BATV) Ch 991

Beloit City Council meetings will continue to be broadcast live on Channel 991 at 7:00 p.m. on he first and third Mondays of each month. Meetings will also be rebroadcast during the week of the Council meeting on Channel 991 on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m., Thursday at 8:30 a.m., and Friday at 1:00 p.m.
