Celebrity Chef Transforms Aero Ale House Menu

LOVES PARK (WIFR) -- A new bar opens in the Stateline and they're getting help from a familiar face.

The owner of Aero Ale House in Loves Park needed help bringing in business for his new bar. So he hired celebrity Chef Brian Duffy from the TV show Bar Rescue to transform the rundown restaurant into a sleek bar. Duffy is also creating a menu giving classic American favorites a new spin.

What makes Aero different from other bars, they don't have a freezer so all of their food is fresh.

"What we're doing here is bring the food up to another level. So we have a kitchen staff that we're retraining, we're teaching these guys how a traditional kitchen should be run. Everything from the ordering to the execution of the food to the way things are held. we're stepping up the standards so we have a really quality fresh product," Chef Duffy said.

Chef Duffy says one of the items on the menu is a mac & cheese with a beer and wine sauce, topped with buttery bread crumbs and baked.

The owner says he hopes the menu will keep people coming back for something to eat.
