Carpenter's Place Kicks Off Walk for the Homeless Month

ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- As we start spending more time inside a local organization is asking us to remember those who can't choose to change their habits.

Carpenter's Place in Rockford kicked off its 6th Annual Walk for the Homeless Month. Walkers and sponsors did a lap around the track at Lutheran High School to get things started. Instead of picking one day out of the month for the event, organizers say spreading the walk out offers the community more opportunities to get involved.

Carpenter's Place helps get five people into housing and two people back to work every week.
