Caposey Reaches Final Stage of Search for Nation’s Top Young Educator

ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- PJ Caposey has been selected to interview as a finalist for the ASCD (Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development) Outstanding Young Educator Award. The OYEA Selection committee has narrowed the search to a select group (believed to be between 10 and 15 educators nationwide) for this prestigious award who will interview with the selection committee over the next month. From this final grouping five honorees will be selected, as well as the national Outstanding Young Educator. The process and notification will conclude in January of 2013.

Caposey stated that this honor was ‘humbling’ and wanted to express gratitude to his colleagues and community at Oregon High School, stating, “I feel very fortunate to receive accolades that were earned by the faculty, staff, students, and community supporting Oregon High School.”
