ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- One local candidate is forced to change his campaign yard signs after finding out the giant posters violated city rules.
You may see some pretty unique signs around town for 34th District Senate candidate Steve Stadelma. In Rockford, political yard signs can't be larger than 5 square feet. Stadelman's posters were too big so instead of taking them down all together, campaign workers gave the signs a makeover. Voters with the yard signs say it was a clever
"I'm happy with the way it turned out. I have had at least 6 friends who have called me giggling about the talking heads in my yard," says voter Patte Lund.
Stadelman faces Republican Frank Gambino in the race.
