LOVES PARK (WIFR) -- Hundreds of visitors pack into Rock Cut State Park for one final summer camping trip.
Campground hosts at the park say every one of the park's three hundred camp sites were booked over the Labor Day weekend. Families traveled from Chicago, Peoria, even Milwaukee to spend some time at Rock Cut. Visitors enjoyed fishing on the park's two lakes, the hiking trails, as well as plenty of time in the great outdoors.
“We bought a new camper in April and we've just been trying it out, trying to make little short trips,” says camper Ken Scovile of Peoria. “This really is a nice park, it’s clean and it’s got a lot of hiking trails. We do like the lake, we like to be around the water, we like to fish."
