Buffalo Wild Wings to Host Community Day Benefitting Boys & Girls Club

ROCKFORD/MACHESNEY PARK (WIFR) -- Buffalo Wild Wings will host Community Day April 9th at both area locations with 10% of all receipts going to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Rockford.

The Machesney Park location, 1513 West Lane Road, will have a Blazin Belly Buster Wing Challenge and the first 40 people who donate $50.00 or more to the B&G Club and sign up for the wing challenge will receive a “Wings for a Year” booklet from BWW’s in Machesney Park. All proceeds will benefit the Boys & Girls Club Carlson Unit in Machesney Park.

The contest will begin at 7PM. Contestants must register prior to the beginning of the contest. The Blazin’ Belly Buster competition consists of eating as many Blazin’ wings as you can in a 6 minute time frame. Contestants cannot use any napkins, ranch or bleu cheese to dip wings into are not allowed to consume any beverage during the completion.

The Boys & Girls Club of Rockford has 5 area locations serving over 600 youths daily and over 6.500 youths annually though their after school and outreach programs. The Club’s overall vision is grounded in a multi-faceted approach toward life-long learning; building the foundation for the future. In support of this approach, programs are designed to build character and leadership skills; to promote education and career development; to foster health and life skills; encourage participation in the arts, sports, fitness, and recreation; to build cultural diversity; and deepen knowledge of technology.
