ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- As the city works to improve downtown, two local brothers are working together to change Rockford’s negative image.
“If you're thinking positive you will change the way you act toward it"
Daniel Hopkins is facing a challenge far greater than the Rubik’s Cube that sits on the edge of his desk; he and his brother Michael are trying to change Rockford’s negative reputation, by using their marketing company as a motivational tool.
"I think people need to remind themselves why they are here and why they enjoy living here."
The Hopkins created www.exhilaraterockford.com, a website that encourages us to leave positive comments about the city, everything from our favorite restaurants to the Ice Hogs.
The site has generated more than 100 posts since it launched last month the brothers would like to see a thousand comments.
The site also takes in suggestions like improving downtown parking and picking up trash throughout the city.
“The response has been great,” say the brothers.
A great response that could help our community click one positive comment at a time.
To check out the site, head to www.exhilaraterockford.com. Once there, you can help the brothers collect 1,000 comments.
