UPDATE: Teen Dead After Tuesday's Shooting

ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- The 15-year-old who police say was shot in the head on Tuesday outside a home on North Central Avenue has died from his injuries.

Police 15-year-old Christian McGrady was killed by a single gunshot wound. The victim's dad says he's devastated.

"It's extra hard on a parent when you lose your youngest child because now I don't have anyone to cook for, no one’s cloths to wash, no one to play catch with. So when the person did that they took my soul, they took my soul," says Christopher McGrady.

This is the city's 7th murder this month.

Update:Police say 15-year-old Christian Grady has died from his injuries. He was shot in the head on Tuesday in the 800 block of North Central Avenue.

Police say the investigation is still on going.

ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- A 15-year-old boy is in critical condition after being shot in the head in Rockford Tuesday morning.

Police say just after midnight, he was shot in the 800 block of North Central Avenue.
