Boy Scouts Build Addition to School Playground

SOUTH BELOIT (WIFR) -- Brett Jones and the rest of Boy Scout Troop 620 enjoyed their Saturday working at Willowbrook Middle School in South Beloit.

As a part of Jones' eagle scout service project, the group constructed ga-ga ball and volleyball courts outside of the school.

Jones says it's always important to give back to the people that have helped you in the past.

"It helps out a lot with new schools and new kind of buildings like this," said Jones. "You can help out quite a bit with just the progression of the district. It's important to me just because of how much the school district has helped me out as a person and I've learned so much so I figured I could give back."

Jones also says that his project would not have gotten started without the help and donations from the PSA, Willowbrook's gym teachers and Home Depot.
