STATELINE (WIFR) -- If your house is anything like our studio, you've probably seen quite a few box elder bugs lately. As we first told you this weekend, exterminators are exceptionally busy trying to keep up with demand. But, we did manage to catch up with one this morning. Wil-Kil pest control tells us we should block off places that they might be coming in.
They suggest we seal off areas where TV wires, phone lines, and even drier vents enter our home and if they do make it inside, “We're the professionals and we know how to treat and where to treat, and sometimes we're just afraid that if we give the homeowner too much direction, there can be misuse or they can damage their own siding, so we use the right materials for the right home,” said Jim Gilbert, the Regional Manager at Wil-Kil.
Fortunately, the bugs don't bite or cause damage to property.
