The programs are being provided by over a dozen organizations servicing Boone County. They include the Belvidere Park District, Belvidere YMCA, Boone County Conservation District, Boys & Girls Club of Rockford, Boy Scouts of America, Coon Creek Casters, 4-H University of Illinois Extension, Girl Scouts, Immanuel Lutheran Church, the Grange, International Order of the Rainbow for Girls, North Boone School District, the Poplar Grove Vintage Wings and Wheels Museum, St. John’s United Church of Christ, and the Salvation Army. These organizations offer a variety of activities that are affordable, safe, and fun. Information on these activities is being provided to District 100 and District 200 students with their report cards and is available online at www.boonecountyil.org and www.ci.belvidere.il.us.

The Gang Task Force was created to provide a community approach to addressing gang-related issues in Boone County and is comprised of members from law enforcement, youth service providers, local schools, and other interested members of the community.
