ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Thousands of car enthusiasts spend Sunday afternoon checking out the wheels on display at the Rockford First’s 6th annual car, truck, and motorcycle show.
The free event featured more than 170 cars and trucks from just about every era from the 1920s to today. For bike lovers, there were about 50 motorcycles to check out. Organizers say this was the biggest crowd they've had with more than 3,000 people attending. New this year, fans could get up and close to a race car from the American Road Racing Series.
"We just have a passion for the car community, for the bike community and thought it would be a fun way to get out and have some fun with everybody,” says organizer Candice Camardo. “It’s super rewarding, we love being out in the Rockford community and we are excited this show keeps growing from year to year."
Organizers handed out awards for best in show and fan's choice. Rockford First’s Lead Pastor Jeremy DeWeerdt blessed all the motorcycles that were in the show.
