Beyer Elementary Offers Students Discounted Uniforms

ROCKFORD (WIFR) – As registration kicks off today, this fall, families at Beyer Elementary School are being offered affordable options for school uniforms.

Volunteers from Saint Mark Lutheran Church of Rockford collected clothes all summer for the new concept called Uniform Co-Op that will offer new and used school uniforms at a discount. Items being sold are shirts, pants, and shorts for both boys and girls.
Beyer’s principal says the program is a big help for some of their families.

"Going back to school is very expensive for families and uniforms are very expensive. I think parents are really excited to have this opportunity to purchase uniforms at low cost so their kids are ready for school,” said Principal Christine Smith.

Uniform Co-Op is open today and Wednesday at 333 15th Avenue from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and will be open Thursday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for students enrolling.
