BELVIDERE (BPD) -- The Belvidere Police Department Narcotic Unit arrested a Rockford man on multiple drug charges on Friday.
Thirty-five-year-old Charles Langford was charged with two counts of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance (heroin – class x felony) within 1000 feet of a church. Langford was released from the boone county jail on a $75,000.00 bond.
On Friday afternoon, Belvidere Police Detectives, Patrol Officers and K9 Unit took Langford into custody in the 1300 block of North State Street, Belvidere.
The arrest of Langford concluded a one month investigation by the Belvidere police narcotics unit. Belvidere police seized heroin, drug packaging material, united states currency and a vehicle.
A class 'X' felony is punishable by six to 30 years in the department of corrections.
