BELVIDERE (WIFR) -- Belvidere Police have arrested a man on multiple drug charges.
28-year-old Thomas Shattuck, of Belvidere, IL has been charged with possession and intent to deliver psilocybin mushrooms within 1000 feet of school and possession with intent to deliver cannabis. Shattuck is in custody in the Boone County Jail on a $150,000 bond.
Earlier this month Belvidere Police executed a search warrant at a residence in the 1100 block of Union Avenue, Belvidere. Police seized psilocybin mushrooms, cannabis, pills, drug paraphernalia, drug packaging materials, an electronic scale, and U.S. currency. On September 23, police arrested Shattuck after his vehicle was stopped on Bypass 20 at Townhall Road in Belvidere. Police seized more cannabis, pills U.S. Currency and a vehicle.
A one month investigation by the Belvidere Police narcotics unit was concluded with Shattuck's arrest. The investigation continues and additional charges are likely.
