Belvidere Man Arrested on Drug Charges

BELVIDERE (WIFR)-- 33-year-old, Felix Perez, of Belvidere Illinois was charged with one count of unlawful delivery of cannabis (Class 4 Felony) and one count of unlawful delivery of cannabis over 30 grams (Class 3 Felony). Perez remains in custody at the Boone County Jail on a $100,000.00 (10%) bond.

On November 27, 2012, Perez was arrested after his vehicle was stopped by police in the 3100 block of Chrysler Drive, Belvidere.

The arrest of Perez concluded a two month investigation by the Belvidere police narcotic unit. The investigation continues and additional arrests are possible.

A Class 3 Felony is punishable by two (2) to five (5) years in the department of corrections. A class 4 felony is punishable by one (1) to three (3) years in the department of corrections.
