ROCKFORD (WIFR) – Election Day, which is next Tuesday, is quickly approaching and it’s never a bad time for a candidate to receive an endorsement.

Former Rockford Alderman, Victory Bell, announced his backing of a pair of candidates for Tuesday’s primary. Democrat Glenn Heidenreich is running for Winnebago County Sheriff and Dorothy Turner is up for the 17th District state central committeewoman.

Bell says he chose to stand by the two contenders because they are running grassroots campaigns and are dedicated to the people as opposed to big businesses.
