ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- A lawsuit filed by a Rockford man who spent more than a decade in prison before his murder conviction was overturned has been dismissed.
Alan Beaman was freed from prison in 2008 after DNA evidence pointed to other suspects in the 1993 death of his former girlfriend.
In 2010, Beaman filed a lawsuit claiming McLean County Prosecutors and Normal Police conspired to wrongfully accuse him of the crime.
