UNDATED (WIFR) -- Baby Trend Inc. is recalling nearly 17,000 child car seats due to difficulty in unlatching the harness buckle.
The NHTSA reported that the buckles can get stuck in the latched position, which increases the risk of injury in the event of an emergency.
The recall is for the TrendZ Fastback 3-in-1 child restraints, models FB60070 (Granite) and FB6048 (Jellybean), manufactured between October 2011 and July 2013.
Baby Trend said it will notify registered owners and provide replacement buckles.
Those with questions about this recall can call Baby Trend at 1-800-328-7363 or visit their website at www.babytrend.com.
This recall comes after two other major child seat recalls from Graco and Evenflo, affecting over 4 million child car seats globally.
