ROCKFORD (WIFR) – Big crowds are coming to Rockford and they area all finding their way to the BMO Center.
For the 12th consecutive year, Rockford is hosting the Illinois kids wrestling federation State Tournament. 900 boys and girls ages 10 to 14 walked onto the floor inside the arena this morning to kick off the competition.
The Rockford Area Convention and Visitors Bureau expects the nearly 1,500 athletes, coaches, and spectators to spend an estimated $180,000 while in the area.
