DIXON (WIFR) – More than $7 million is in the bank following a two day auction of horses and equipment that used to belong to former Dixon comptroller Rita Crundwell.
More than 300 horses were sold, as well as trailers and other equipment. A luxury motor home went for $800,000. An onlien auction of 80 horses a few weeks ago brough in over a million dollars. The money from the auction could go back to the city of Dixon if Crundwell is found guilty. She is accused of misappropriating more than $53 million from city coffers.
More of Crundwell's personal belongings, including jewelry, will be up for sale in later this fall.
