ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- A scary night for a store clerk on Rockford's west side, after the business was robbed at knife point.
Police say around 11:00 p.m. Thursday a man entered Murphy Oil USA, 3962 W. Riverside Blvd., approached the clerk with a knife, and demanded money. The clerk handed over an unknown amount of cash. The suspect was last seen leaving the store in a green GrandAm or teal Ford Taurus. No one was hurt in the robbery.
Police say the suspect is a white man, six feet tall, about 200 lbs. wearing a brown Carhartt jacket and jeans. Anyone with information is encouraged to call police at 815-987-5824.
