WINNEBAGO COUNTY (WIFR) -- Fewer people are pressing there luck when it comes to video gaming in Winnebago County.
Numbers released today by the Illinois Gaming Board show $48 million was bet in Winnebago County in April,down from $52 million in March.
The state was able to cash in on a little more than a million dollars. Locally around $212,000 was raised.
Even though the numbers are down this month Melynda Litchfield from the Stop Predatory Gambling Foundation says video gaming can be addictive.
"You go into a bar and have eight drinks they cut you off because your obviously impaired. You go into a casino and gamble for ten hours and lose thousands of dollars there is no intervention," Litchfield said.
