ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- A Rockford man who got off the hook on a murder charge earlier this year, may get off the hook again, this time for running from police back in 2011.
Antwan Maxey was arrested in October for a crime that allegedly happened more than a year and a half ago. His attorney says his due process rights have been violated because he wasn't charged sooner. The Winnebago County State's Attorney lost the murder case against him in state court for taking too long to give him a trial. A judge will decide whether he should be free next week.
