BELVIDERE (WIFR) -- Dozens of people showed up for a local job fair.
Dozens of job seekers came out to the annual career expo in Belvidere where more than 40 employers staffing and training agencies were featured. That includes places like Kelley’s Market. Some job seekers say it’s been difficult to find a job even with years of necessary experience.
“I’m finding that without having a bachelor’s degree, a lot of doors are closing even with having all that experience. I’m surprised but that’s just the way it is right now,” said job seeker Kathleen Hansen.
If you missed today’s fair, there will be another chance to look for a job at the Belvidere Chamber of Commerce’s annual Bo-Co Expo that’s scheduled for this Saturday.
