ROCKFORD (WIFR) – A ribbon cutting ceremony was held Thursday morning for the Anam Glen Community Center on Newburg Road, just east of the Tebala Shrine Center.
The new dementia center helps those suffering from Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and other brain injuries.
The 16-bed residential facility also has an Oasis Memory Café which is new to Northern Illinois and is open to the community to help people with mild memory issues.
The center is the only locally owned and operated Dementia Center in Rockford.
