ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Rules to get video gaming machines in Rockford may be changing within the next few weeks.
A Rockford city council committee held a special meeting today to start developing a framework for businesses that want gaming machines.
Some Aldermen say they’re concerned about Rockford becoming oversaturated with gaming.
About 75% percent of liquor licenses pending also want slot machines. Alderman Venita Harvey says she’s looked at requests recently from a coffeehouse and a florist interested in video gaming.
