Rockford Area Education Grants
Two local colleges and a university are slated to get a piece of a five-million dollar federal grant awarded to Illinois schools.

Rock Valley College is getting 200-thousand dollars in funding to expand its job training and small business counseling programs. Sauk Valley Community College in Dixon gets 226-thousand for its similar programs. And Northern Illinois University was awarded 200-thousand to expand its study abroad programs and international education.
