Like so many of her peers, Melissa Heider is looking for work, so she stopped by a job fair being held by Ann Taylor at Cherryvale Mall.
The new store is scheduled to open October 15 and the company is looking to hire 15 to 20 people for sales and stock associate positions. The company is offering competitive pay and a generous benefit program, music to the ears of those struggling to find a job.
According to the Illinois Department of Employment Security, jobs in the retail sector have remained fairly steady during the course of the past few years, but finding those available jobs is difficult, so job fairs help ease the stress of constantly searching for work.
Melissa just graduated high school. She's taking a year off and then plans to head off to college, but in the meantime Melissa's hoping to find a job that will help her dress her resume with success.
