State Sues Wal-Mart and Target Over Web Sales Tax

Target and Wal-Mart are the targets of the suits filed Monday in Cook County Circuit Court.

State officials say the companies didn't charge state sales taxes to Illinois customers who bought products online.

The lawsuit was filed under the Whistleblower Reward and Protection Act. It says the sales tax wasn't collected between 1999 and 2002.
