The Illinois Department of Public Health says the woman (whose name and hometown aren't being released) became ill earlier this month but didn't require hospital treatment.
So far this year, human cases of West Nile have also been reported in Boone, Clinton, Cook, DuPage, Ford, Jackson, Jo Daviess, Kendall, Rock Island, Sangamon, St. Clair and Will Counties.
Last year, Illinois recorded 54 human cases of West Nile, including one death. In 2002, the state led the nation with 884 cases and 66 deaths.
