Medical Studies On A Farm

Students studying at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford spent their day at a dairy farm in Freeport.

Learning what to do during a tractor roll over accident. The crash was simulated with rescue personnel on scene and a life line helicopter actually flying in to help the injured.

The goal was for students to get a look at one of the nations most dangerous professions.

There are about 100 students who participate in the program. Most of them study here in Rockford and the rest take classes in Urbana.
