Down in the Gulf crews are keeping a close eye on the massive oil slick that's sitting off the coast of Florida. They're fearful bad weather that's coming in could bring it ashore. Hundreds of feet of boom stretched across Florida’s Destin Pass but that hasn't stopped small tar ball's from popping up on the beach.
BP says it has spent at least two billion dollars trying to stop the spill but fixing the wells is only hope for permanently stopping the leak.
Meantime windy conditions continue to fan the flames of wildfires in Arizona. So far fire has burned through almost 9,000 acres of land, hundreds of people have been evacuated while others wait on evacuation stand by.
Helicopters and air tankers are attacking from the skies but with several other fires burning throughout the state and high winds in the forecast-fire fighters are bracing for a long hot battle.
