The Indianapolis-based airline released a brief statement from Chairman J. George Mikelsons, saying that ATA is not abandoning Midway or canceling any flights.

The Chicago Department of Aviation also says ATA hasn't told the city of Chicago about any major changes to their operation in Chicago. The airline leases 14 gates at Midway.

ATA lost more than $90 million in the first half of the year.
