CAPITOL HILL (AP) -- South Dakota Senator Tim Johnson has returned to the Senate, and is already saying he anticipates running for re-election next year.
The Democrat had been out since suffering a life-threatening brain hemorrhage nine months ago.
Johnson is physically weaker, using a scooter to get around. His words are also slow and slurred, but for now says he is "ready to go."
Johnson says he anticipates that he will run for re-election, but will measure his speech and mobility progress and make a final decision this fall.
