Still no parent or guardian of an abandoned baby found in Rockford. Now Rockford police are making a second appeal to the public for any information they have.

Rockford police say they've exhausted all of their leads, but they are optimistic someone has information that hasn't come forward.

A four to six-month-old baby girl was left in front of First Lutheran Church on S. Third Street in Rockford just before 9 p.m. on Aug. 29.

Witnesses reported a white female between 19 and 22 years old left the baby in a stroller near the stairs of the church.

The baby did have extra formula and clothes in the stroller. The baby was discovered shortly after it was left, which means it suffered no serious health problems.

Rockford police say because the baby is four to six-month-old, someone other than its parents or guardian should know it's missing.

A full description now of who is believed to have left the baby at the church, a white female 19-22 years old, 5'8, 120 lbs, with a medium build. The baby is four to six-month-old, 14 lbs, 9oz.

Call Rockford police or Crimerstoppers if you have any information.
