Rockford College Expands

Rockford College unveiled its new 9,000 square foot expansion. It's located in an old office building on campus right off East State Street. This space will be used to house the college's Business and Education Master's programs along with the B.S. program in Management Studies for adults returning to school. Students started using the building two weeks ago, and in the fall, there will be a meal service to make it easier to juggle school and work.
"It's purposeful that we'll be teaching adults at a high level. I think it's good for Rockford College. I think it's good for our community. Even more important, it's a symbolic nature of having Rockford College return to State Street," says Rockford College President Dr. Robert Head.
The new building has "smart technology," which includes a projector, laptop and DVD/VCR and interactive wipe boards. College administrators say a new fiber optic connection also provides better Internet service to the entire campus.
