Northern Illinois University and Rock Valley College are partnering together to offer a Bachelor of Science Degree in Applied Management, with an emphasis in Computer Science. The program will be taught at NIU Rockford by faculty from both schools. NIU President John Peters says the degree opens up the door to many different career paths, not just strictly science-based.
"Bachelor of Science in Applied Management is applicable to several areas that are technical in nature, where you can combine it with some business programming and then some degree completion programming, so something like Homeland Security," says Peters.
The new program currently has about 18 students enrolled, but leaders say they can take up to 50. For more information on how you can enroll, visit Rock Valley or NIU's website.
