Rockford Teen Pleads Guilty in Murder Plot

A Rockford teenager has pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit murder in a plot to kill his dad.

Seventeen-year-old Krestan Roser admitted Thursday to his role in the plan to kill his father, David Roser.

Police say Krestan Roser was going to help 17-year-old Benjamin Sullivan and a 16-year-old male break into David Roser's home in March.

Once inside the home, the teens were going to beat David Roser with a bat and leave his body on a set of railroad tracks so it would look like a train killed him.

The plot was foiled by David Roser's dog, which barked when it heard Sullivan and the juvenile outside an open window. Police caught the teens as they fled.

The 16-year-old has pleaded guilty in the incident and was sentenced to three months in juvenile corrections. Sullivan's case is pending in adult court.
